Queens from Ghana, Angola, Cote D’Ivoire and Zimbabwe won different awards. Best costume to Teresa Sara of Angola, best swimsuit/Miss Fitness to Charlotte Muziri of Zimbabwe, People’s choice award by Nassita Diako from Cote D’Ivoire and Miss International Africa by Ghana’s Mercy Jane Adorkor Pappoe. Nassita also made top ten of the pageant.

Queens from big names like Nigeria and South Africa did great, but were unplaced. Uganda which made a return after a break from the pageant was also unplaced. Others unplaced were Tunisia, Somalia, Jamaica and Mauritius.
