In 1993, she became the dean of College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ohio University. A position she held till 2001.
She was not just their first female dean, she was also the first African American to take up such a responsibility.
In 2018, she was appointed founding dean and chief academic officer of Minnesota College of Osteopathic Medicine.
