Francia Marquez is only forty-one years old. Yet she is the vice-president of Colombia- a country in South America. She is a lawyer, an activist and an environmentalist. In her country, the colour of your skin is not as important as who you are.
Ms Mãrquez is also the Minister of Equality. She recently traced her roots to Kenya and has put in place relationship and exchange programmes between Kenya and the Africans of Colombia. She wants them to know more about their African roots and language.
Do you think she should have been satisfying with just being vice-president? Please respond in the comments section below.
